ICAA Participates in "Circular Green Europe Digital Product Passport (DPP) Development Exchange Meeting"

On June 17, 2026, Huang Cheng-ping, Secretary-General of the Intelligent Industry Computer & Internet of Things Association (ICAA), was invited to attend the "Circular Green Europe Digital Product Passport (DPP) Development Exchange Meeting," where he exchanged views with representatives from industry, government, academia, and research institutions on the latest developments in EU circular economy, sustainable product policies, and digital product passports.

The digital product passport is an important policy tool for the EU to promote green transformation and the circular economy. It integrates information on product raw material sources, manufacturing processes, carbon footprints, repair, recycling, and reuse through digitalization to improve supply chain transparency and product lifecycle traceability. As relevant EU regulations and systems are gradually implemented, the DPP will have a profound impact on Taiwan's export-oriented electronics, ICT, and manufacturing industries.

Through participation in this exchange meeting, ICAA helped gain a better understanding of European sustainable regulations and market requirements, and focused on the challenges its member companies may face in product data governance, supply chain information integration, and digital traceability. In the future, ICAA will continue to promote cross-industry cooperation and policy information exchange, assist enterprises in making early plans for DPP and circular economy transformation, and enhance the sustainable competitiveness of Taiwan's smart hardware industry in the international market.
