Equipped with NVIDIA JETSON THOR T4000, the EDGECOMP MS-NAT4000 delivers high-density AI performance, device-side generative AI, and real-time sensor processing capabilities for industrial edge applications.

July 7, 2026, Taipei, Taiwan – BIOSTAR, a leading global brand of edge AI computing solutions, industrial motherboards, graphics cards, and storage devices, today officially launched the compact EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 edge AI computing system. This system supports the NVIDIA® Jetson Thor T4000 module, providing high-performance AI computing, real-time sensor processing, and intelligent automation capabilities at the edge.

The EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 is designed for system integrators, AI software developers, smart manufacturing solution providers, and advanced autonomous machine manufacturers, bringing powerful AI computing capabilities closer to the data generation environment. It supports the fusion of on-device generative AI, visual intelligence, and low-latency sensors, and can perform multiple AI tasks simultaneously, laying a solid foundation for various industries to implement AI systems in real-world environments.

As AI applications shift from cloud computing to real-time edge processing, various industries require a small computing platform capable of analyzing massive amounts of data locally while maintaining low latency, high efficiency, and flexible integration. The EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 is designed for this purpose, applicable to everything from smart manufacturing inspection, autonomous mobile robots, smart monitoring, smart city infrastructure, unmanned delivery systems to industrial automation.

Utilizing the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture Jetson Thor T4000 module, the EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 achieves up to 1200 TFLOPS of FP4 AI computing performance, 4.3 times faster than AGX Orin and 3.5 times more energy efficient. Equipped with 64GB of 256-bit LPDDR5X memory and a 12-core Arm CPU, it can easily handle large language models, visual language models, AI agents, real-time inference, and advanced computer vision applications.

With this high-performance architecture, powerful AI models can execute directly at the edge, eliminating reliance on the cloud for everything. This results in faster response times, enhanced data security, and greater system flexibility. For industrial automation applications where every second counts, on-device AI computing enables the system to analyze data in real time, respond to changing circumstances, and act immediately.

To meet the demands of high-bandwidth sensors and image processing, the EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 is equipped with two 5GbE ports and one QSFP28 port, supporting up to three 25GbE network connections. Combined with NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge technology, the platform can receive and process massive amounts of camera and sensor data in real time, handling multi-camera detection systems, robot sensing, smart monitoring, and other AI applications that heavily utilize sensors with ease.

In terms of integration flexibility, the EdgeComp MS-NAT4000, with its compact 192 x 154 x 80 mm chassis, offers a full range of expansion, storage, display, and industrial I/O features: one M.2 Key M slot (supporting 2260/2280 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe storage), two SATA III ports (with optional SSD hot-swappable bays), one M.2 Key B 3042/3052 slot (with USB 3.2, allowing for the addition of an LTE/5G module), and one M.2 Key E 2230 slot (with PCIe 5.0 x1 and USB 2.0, allowing for the addition of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules).

For display output, the system provides one HDMI® port (supporting up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz) and one DP 1.4a port, delivering high-resolution images for AI monitoring, machine vision, industrial control, and digital operation interfaces. External I/O is also comprehensive, including four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port for programming the operating system, two RS232/422/485 COM ports, audio input and output, power, reset, and recovery buttons, TPM 2.0 support, and a 12–36V DC terminal block for industrial power supplies.

Considering practical usage environments, the EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 uses a 240W power supply module and supports JetPack 7.1 with Linux Kernel 6.8 and Ubuntu 24.04. Weighing only 1.79 kg, the EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 can operate in environments ranging from 0°C to 50°C, tolerate humidity from 5% to 90%, and boasts 5 Grms shock resistance and 30G impact resistance, ensuring stable operation even in harsh edge environments.

In the field of smart manufacturing, the EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 supports automated optical inspection, predictive maintenance, production line monitoring, and AI-assisted human-machine collaboration. In smart surveillance and smart city applications, it enables real-time image analysis, anomaly detection, and traffic monitoring, making infrastructure smarter. For autonomous mobile robots, unmanned delivery vehicles, and heavy automated machinery, the platform also provides the AI computing capabilities needed for perception, navigation, sensor fusion, and real-time decision-making.

The addition of the EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 further completes BIOSTAR's EdgeComp product line and demonstrates the company's continued commitment to creating reliable, compact, and easily integrated computing platforms for next-generation edge AI applications. Combining the NVIDIA Jetson Thor T4000, high-speed networking, flexible expansion, industrial-grade connectivity, and robust system design, the BIOSTAR EdgeComp MS-NAT4000 provides system integrators and AI solution developers with a powerful platform to bring advanced AI capabilities to real-world applications.
